- Homes listed right now carry a median asking price of $549,900, well above the $365,000 median that homes actually sold for over the past year. Part of that is the mix of homes on the market today, and it’s the reason I price from closed sales rather than from other listings.
- Well-priced homes are moving fast. The typical listing has been on the market about 10 days.
- Inventory is tighter than a year ago: 16 single-family listings now versus 25 in October.

The Farmington Canal Heritage Trail passes through the village, and I-84 and I-691 are a few minutes away.
Homes range from older houses near the village center to capes, ranches and newer colonial subdivisions, plus condos.

Plantsville homes are valued against the rest of Southington, but buyers often pay a little more for the village and the trail. I price with both in mind.
