- Homes listed right now carry a median asking price of $799,900, well above the $515,000 median that homes actually sold for over the past year. Part of that is the mix of homes on the market today, and it’s the reason I price from closed sales rather than from other listings.
- Buyers have more time to decide here. The typical listing has been on the market about 39 days, often because of a few higher-priced homes.
- Inventory is about where it was a year ago, with 76 single-family homes for sale.

About East Lyme
East Lyme sits on Long Island Sound along I-95, between New London and Old Lyme, and includes the village of Niantic.
The Niantic Bay Boardwalk runs along the water, and Rocky Neck State Park has one of the state’s best-known beaches.
Homes range from beach cottages near the water, some of them seasonal, to year-round colonials inland. Several neighborhoods have private beach associations with their own rules and fees.
